I voted for the pred. cause after the Klingons they are me fav.But why no ST aliens?(Though dont worry too much about it.I started a "Fav. Sport thread" and forgot basketball)

The predator may well be a great and powerful warrior, but how does he deal with a million giant ants? The only defence is a huge magnifying glass and a cloudless sky (or tanks).

Similar to the xenomorph the ants are a large selfless mass, but unlike the xenomorph they reproduce much faster and can strip the land bare in seconds. The xenomorph is strong and agile - not so when crushed between gigantic pincers or covered in ant guts when one sacrifices itself to pin them down.

Furthermore, ants are native to our planet and all it takes is some horrible genetic experiment to go wrong and we will have elephantine ants upon us. The xenomorph relies on an evil corporation sending a hapless space crew to investigate a strange alien spacecraft on a distant planet.

I can't believe I'm the only one to realise the dangers of giant ants.

What do you mean by ST aliens? If you mean Starship Troopers, they are up there...

The problem is that they're not aliens.
They're nuclear mutations!

In any case, Giger's alien = win. Best-ever creature design.
Most of the ST bugs were pretty kickass too.

Sorry guys, never a big fan of Star Trek (although the latest one was the first movie I saw with my girlfriend, yay!). I really wouldn't know about the aliens in there...

Yeah I meant Star Trek,never saw the Starship Troopers bit so didnt think there'd be confusion,Sorry bout that.
Considering the competition I think that they would be outta place anyway as its more of the unspeaking impressive type not the "We need a new one every episode" type.
