I have a 330watt power supply, and ATi recommends a 300watt power supply for the 9800pro 128mb.

Is there any bottlenecking going on? it sure feels like it..

You can't bottleneck with a power supply.

If you power supply is inadequate, your computer will start restarting in the middle of a game. That means you will need a new power supply. However, I am 99.9% sure you will be fine with your new 9800 Pro.

It wont always reboot, sometimes video performace will dive.'

If you have a power intensive video card.

You should be fine, me, I have a 350 watt power supply and a 9800 Pro, and doing just fine.

Well, sorry for having to bump a dead thread, but recently my computer died completely from random rebooting and acting weirdly.

Now I'm on another computer until we fix it. Boo...

I'm running a 9800 pro on a HP 200w supply with no problems as are many others. It is the quality of supply that is more important than the actual wattage.

quoted for emphasis because that goes for anything that uses or creates power (like you kids that buy 1billion watt power amps for you cars... its QUALITY not QUANTITY!)
