The second installment of three in the episodic trilogy for Half-Life 2 is now available to pre-load via your Steam client. Pre-loading Episode Two will allow you to quickly step into the game at its release.
The Orange Box will be available via Steam and at retail outlets beginning next
Wednesday, October 10th. In preparation for launch, Valve has begun pre-loading both
Portal and Half-Life 2: Episode Two to those who have pre-purchased The Orange Box.
The pre-purchase campaign, available via Steam and at participating retailers,
grants gamers access to the Team Fortress 2 beta and extends a 10% discount off the
regular price of $49.95.

Id really like to know how many times i have posted news or was the 1st to post in a news post.

No life..for Life!

Ya it's awesome but now there will be lots of spoilers goung around the internet.

GCFScape still allows you to take a look at the file names.

Can't pre-load atm, the servers are full apparently. :(

My awesome 34gb beast told me I didnt have enough space for ep2 preload, so bscly I just removed MSoffice

I'm done, that was quite a big download especially since when you preloaded TF2 you got the newer Source engine build.

Heh, I'd get rid of Office too if I didn't need it for school. :p

why is my peak download faster than my max possible download :eek:

D: how big was the dl for tf2 and the new build? The comp I have now is god awful and I dont have much space tp spare.

Already having portal and tf2 loaded/preloaded the ep2 download was almost 1gb exactly. M steam folder is now 20gb, wow.

I was just about to say that Penguin--I'm up to 20.1 gigs...that's insane...

that is insane. why the hell is it so huge?? If the engine updates take more than 5 gb or so then Im screwed :\.

Lol you guys are so lucky that you can preload because i'm gonna have to buy it for ps3, 3 f*cking weeks later :flame::flame::flame: (because my geforce 6600 and p4 3.2 ghz cant handle it i think) anyway have fun with the preload:)

That rig should handle it with no problems... RAM issues?

Finally finished preloading (15 hours later). Stupid dorm internet.

WTH...My preload froze at 95% for no reason. Internet is still working(otherwise I wouldn't be posting this) and both my drives have more than enough space. Any help?

BTW freakyflor, if my Geforce 6200 and 3.0 Ghz P4 can run the game, then your rig should have no trouble at all.

Try pausing then resuming the download. If that fails, restart Steam and resume.

Restarted Steam...that seemed to work, although for some reason my DL is much slower than before. Oh well, it's only 5%.
