Pre-Loading started!! :D

Wait a minute, since i pre-loaded CS:S in less than 10 seconds, assuming i was one of the first ppl who started it...does that mean i pretty much downloaded 300mbs that quick? Also assuming valve was offering a SHIT LOAD of bandwidth? Even though im broadband ive never ever downloaded a file that is even 10mbs less than 10 seconds, i just think that's alittle weird....

does the voucher have a cd-key?

Okay, I figured it out... I just had to register Half-Life with Steam using the key on the ATI voucher, as if I was trying to get the Valve Premeire Pack. I hadn't done that before, since I had access to all those games already. *Phew!* Now I'm pre-loading the beta nicely, and am at 20% already. It's pretty fast... although certainly not like '10 seconds' fast, that's crazy.

I just woke up and started preloading, its going at 1.5 MB/sec.
Can't wait to start playing.I just hope that they will give the game a bit sooner than the preload cause is was already the 17th here in Belgium.

This is ~366Mbs, and Half-Life 2 is somewhere between 2GB-3GBs. The bandwidth requirements for The Counter-Strike Source Beta are just a taste of Half-Life 2's.

Actually there won't need more bandwith, they only need to let people download it longer.

You lucky basta... oops hehe. I'm working during this summer abroad in CZ, the pc I have at the office is a 1.0 ghz with a Riva TNT 2 but I'm still preloading just to see it with my own eyes even though it won't run hehe.

Funny thing is there aren't any Cybercafes here part of the Valve program, you have one in Nigeria but not in CZ
