I'm guessing that someone with the know-how can probably use the leaked HL2 executable to play the game early, especially if most or all of the game content (maps, sounds, models) is included in the GCF.

They're not going to preload the full thing. Wouldn't that just be a bad thing, delaying the game even more??? :hmph:
