Preorder Worms Reloaded, Get Holy Hand Grenade in TF2

Meanwhile, people who own and barely play TF2 continue to receive daily updates. World keeps turning.
 
Oh god. If there is ever going to be a TF2 item that would make me buy a game it will be this one.

Ditto. In fact I think I just might. I loved Worms Armageddon and this looks like it's coming back from the 3d series and returning to the old school style of play.
I'm just not sure how much I would play it, but I'd definitely play it with some of you.

I played the hell out of the old Worms games and I'm very tempted to pick this up...but I just have so many other games to play yet.
 
What exactly does the Holy Hand Grenade do? Is it just a vanity item like the hat or is it actually a weapon?
 
If I got mine as a gift in a 4 pack will i get this bonus?

Replaces the soldier's chest grenades so you'll only get to use them with the equalizer taunt. Here's to hoping it play HALLELUJAH! when you do.

@Krynn, I already had the game preordered because I'm a big worms fan, and obviously these items are aimed at people who are worms fans. I'm not saying "oh look there's an item in TF2 you should buy this game to have all the items," I'm saying "if there is any big worms fans out there who're on the fence about getting reloaded here's an extra incentive because the holy hand grenade is awesome."
 
Well whether it's for Worms fans, Monty Python fans, or TF2 fans, it's made Worms preorders go to top seller on Steam. I'm excited to play it.
 
Never really liked worms, or hats but at least this set of pre-order kit is better then the god awful rabbit ears from Sam and Max.

Also the birthday mode in celebration of the original TFs birthday is a nice little distraction, watching people fight over the big beach ball is a great deal of fun.
 
I forgot how much fun Worms was... It's exciting when you're down to the last worm one on one dipping and dodging and praying for misses... trying to get in a position where you can hit the other guy without dying yourself. I dunno it's just nice to have a game you can jump in and play or 30-60 mins and drop without remorse and still feel like you had some fun. I haven't even looked at he soldier hat yet... TF2 seems like one of those things where like... only the real die hards are still playing and when you go to just mess around and have fun - you get up getting your ass kicked. I mean it's not always like that... but that's kind of the lifecycle of multiplayer shooters.

Having loads of fun with worm at the moment. Love the Crazy Crates game mode :D Had some really close games, and some where the guy who got raped at the start actually ended up winning :D

Well worth the money. I'd like them to change a few things though:

-The menu system: It's big and clunky
-Chat box in-game. I know you can bring one up, but it'd be nice if you could see when somebody else has typed a message rather than having to open the chat box manually
-Mic always on: Can get annoying, especially when you use external chat programs such as mumble.

Hopefully they'll take a page from Valve's book and support it long into the games life. More hats, voices, level skins and the like would be awesome :)

I figured out the mic thing thanks to a random dude the first night. It works through the steam chat. That's why you everyone has it auto-on because steam defaults to "always on." It's weird that a game works through steam's voice chat, but convenient I suppose. I figure you can mute/disable voice from the same place.

Also figured out the text chat thing too. When the little phone pops up at the top right a new message has been posted :) Still would prefer a little chat box to pop up like on other games (TF2, CSS, L4D, etc...)

Great game though :D
 
so when are we getting a big game together? I want to beat you all!
 
Will download and play with ye when my download limit resets. I've heard people complaining about the Holy Hand Grenade music, is it really bad or do people just not like it because it's slightly different to the World Party one?
 
Oh dear god I hate all the menus. I hate them all. Everything is huge and selected with arrows and all looks the same. Seriously Team 17 not everything has to take up the entire screen and please let me choose things from lists instead of having to cycle through 30 options.
