I was referring to that single example of 'chick who wants abortion because a child is a hassle'.

/EDIT But still, imho it should be up to the mother (father as well? I dunno. -__-)

Why would they feel bad about it? I thought it wasnt killing or ending life:p

It is the killing of life. No one has denied that. It isn't however the murder of a person. But if a woman does feel a emotional bond with the fetus and does consider it a person, good for her. Then by all means she is free not to abort the "kid".

But women don't just waltz into an abortion clinic, just because they think the child's going to be a bit of a burden, or the simply "changed their mind". Very few women, at least. Women have a strong emotional attachment to an unborn fetus, and an abortion is a hell of a stressful thing to go through.
And an unwanted baby can ruin someone's life. Boyfriends often leave if they're not ready for it. You have to give up a hell of a lot to raise a child on your own, including most of your social life. And this is something you need friends for.
Anyway... I voted Pro-choice because life doesn't begin at conception. Stig's post sums up my opinions here.

No, father should have no say.

If the women wants an abortion, the father should have no right to interfere, becuase he isn't a father yet.
If the women wants the baby and the father wants an abortion, the women should again get to decide, it is her body, if the father never wanted a baby he shouldn't have impregnated the women.

In this case however the father should not have to pay child support I don't think. All low income mothers should receive better state support however.

what if the mother lied and said she was on birth control, but she really wasn't. Can you really blame him?

That's why the father should be given at least SOME say in the matter of abortion and/or child support. If he was lured into impregnating the girl, like if she lied about being on birth control, he should be given the option to opt-out of child support at the very least.
