Problem downloading

I have a problem downloading anything, it usually freezes and I have to start over again. My connection is running off a router and a hub thing. Is there a program I can get to save the progress of my download? Or a solution to this?

Is it just when you are using Firefox, have you tried using a program like flashget or try downloading in IE, just to see if it is specific to FF. If it is, try a reinstall, and if it still does it, then uninstall FF, delete your profile folder in Application Data --> Mozilla --> Firefox --> Profiles. Then reinstall the latest version of firefox. There is a link in my sig if you are feeling lazy
