Problem in Half-Life 2; console commands

Hey!

I recently bought the orange box and I have played Half life 2 before and as for then i also got problems with the console but I managed now and then to get the console up though only when I pause the game.

I'm having problems getting fragmentation grenades through the console, when i typed in "give weapon_frag" got the "gun", in other words one grenade but if I typed in the command again nothing happened, and then to get "ammo" for it I tried to type in "give item_dynamic_resupply" nothing happens more than i get more health except for when I don't have any grenades, then I get ONE grenade no more.

anyone who knows what to do?

I have tried to both have "sv_cheat" on "1" and "0", doesn't change anything.

I think that's the way it is. I remember reading someone had the same problem, but I can't remember if they found a solution.

It gives you everything w/ full ammo.

though I do remember that I could get more ammo for the grenade, could any of you or anyone try to spawn ammo for it or grenades and see if you get the same problem? Anyone who knows if there is another name for the grenade that I could try? or a command that lists all item names?

Well the command I would advise would be the give weapon_frag one. I'm surprised you had problems getting the console open in the first case, sounds like you have other underlying issues.

Anyway as mentioned above already use the give all weapons cheat, and it should give you the maximum grenade ammunition (3) all the time.

1. Type sv_cheats 1 in the console
2. Type impulse 101
3. Optional step - bind impulse 101 to a key to replenish ammo without opening the console.
