Problem with BIOS

on my bios, it says that my FSB is running at 100 mhz, not at 166 mhz. and my speed is at 1.3 ghz. how do i change the speed? my bios wont let me change the speed cuz its an emachines...

any pre-built computer will not let you change any frequency

oh great... i cant really play games properly, even half life 2 lags at medium quality on 1024 * 768 resolution.

you can overclock your video card though lol that would help you i just meant you cant change your cpu frequency

Look for a BIOS update. Even if the updated BIOS doesn't let you change your FSB, it's probable that somebody realized the issue and fixed it in the update.

Don't settle for the lower FSB. You didn't spend your money on that. Someone made a mistake somewhere. Don't OC anything either, since at this point, you're an innocent customer who has broken no service agreements or warranties.
