Problem with boxes around lights

Hi,
I'm running a Giga-byte GF6600GT card with Half-life 2. Everything is very sweet except that I get white boxes with a cross through them around most of the light sources in the game. I have searched everywhere and can't find any mention of anyone else having the problem.

Anyone got any ideas on what it is or more importantly how to fix it.

Sounds obvious, but latest drivers etc?

yep, got the latest drivers from nVidia. However did have one problem, I had the latest drivers already installed when I put in the 6600GT (my old card was a nVidia 5200) and when I tried to install the drivers off the CD that came with the card I had all sorts of strange error messages as part of the install. I then reinstalled the latest drivers without any error messages.

When installing video cards, it is a very good idea to remove all trace of the previous drivers, then install again for the new card.

I suggest you try this, completley remove the old drivers, reboot, then install the new ones.
