I log on to CS:S and click find servers but my browser only goes up to 730 or so servers, where it stops. I cant get it to go past that even though just 3 hours before I was getting over 4,000 servers. When I click on one of the servers listed all I get is the 2nd window showing the server player list and I cant join the server. I logged onto DOD:S and got the usual 300 servers but the game minimizes to the desktop when I try to join and I have to CTRL ALT DEL out. I searched through the forums and Ive deleted my serverbrowser.pdf and clientregistry.bob files but I still get the same problems.

On top of that half the time when I try to start CS:S it wont start, all I get is the Counterstrike:Source starting message with the three ellipses cycling through endlessly. Both CS:S and DOD:S were both working fine just a few hours ago but now I cant play either one of them. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do?

Restart Steam, restart computer? Maybe it's a problem with the recent updates.

Ive tried that several times already. Ive also tried logging off and logging back on but I still get the problem.

Tried also deleting the platform.gcf? And are you sure Steam isn't just currently updating? (Steam tray icon is different, hover above it to check for downloads)

Do you have the latest graphic drivers, the latest DirectX update (9.0C August Update)?
