Problem with env_beam

After seeking help from here (thanks btw) I decided to try out the env_beam entity. I would like to create the effect that the beam is being contained within a generator.

However, the beam goes outside the area I want it when I'm playing the map. I've tried lowering the radius, but that didn't do anything. What do I need to change to get the beam working?

Btw, there are screens below of the problem with the effect. Usualy there's alot more beams shown, but the screens only captured the one for some reason. (NOTE: I'm only orange-mapping textures atm. I'll texture the level once I'm happy with the way it plays.)
 
You need to lower the amount of noise, oh and the reason it only shows one beam when you take a shot is because there's only ever one beam actually in play, it looks like lots more because it's going so fast, kinda like the effect you get if you wave your hand from side to side real fast,

When I saw noise in the options, I thought it was a sound effect kind of noise... :o

Ty for clearing that up though, I'll remember next time ^^
