Problem with new 6600gt

I just got a new xfx 6600gt agp today and went straight to Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines to test it out. The models in the game are now very messed up (See screens below). I have downloaded the latest drivers and it makes no difference. If anybody knows how to fix this please let me know.

The only thing i can suggest is that you re-install the game.

Does this happen with other games? If not its a game specific problem and you should email the games makers for a fix to the problem.

Try using driver cleaner to completely wipe all drivers
Then install the newest drivers

should fix it

No, that is the only game where it happens, but I played it (kind of) with my old 9200 and the models were fine.

Did that with dc3 before I installed the nvidia drivers.

Any other suggestions?? I have really been looking foward to playing this game.

I would guess its not a hardware issue but a game specific bug if its the only game thats having problems. Game specific bugs can be affected by hardware.

Actually I just tried Doom 3 and it did the same thing as bloodlines. I ran 3dmark 03 and it happened too. The only game that it runs is Nascar Thunder, and that came with the card.

Try installing different drivers.

Yeah, try some slightly older drivers. They might work more reliably. I remember getting a *very* similar error with my Radeon 8500 on Far Cry, but after a driver rollback it worked fine.

you might have to rma it, its possible something in the card is screwed up.
