Problem with new Vid Card

I just switched from an Nvidia FX5200 128mb to Ati Radeon 9600 pro with 256mb. The game played smoothly and with no glitches on the Nvidia but now I'm getting a flickering lag effect. I downloaded the latest drivers but it's still doing it, any ideas? Also during the opening the Agent (can't remember his name) now has a line across his face like the top layer of skin is missing but it isn't there on any other screen.

Did you uninstall the old nvidia drivers?

yes, 1st thing, and did a search for Nvidia and removed anything that was left

wait.. why do you need to uninstall the old driver? I have exactly you have chefmichael.. p4 (2.4), nvidia 5200, and 512 mb of ram but when I install the new driver opengl runs horribly.. but before it runs fine.. argh

Format/re-install Windows.

I got that at first with my 9600, happens with most cards, try typing in console cl_smooth 0, no need to do a whole reformat due to that

Download drivercleaner.And clean out all ATI and nivida files.Read the readme files its just a point and click.

You must remove all drivers then start windows in safe mode(hold f8 at boot up).

Then remove both because your ATI drivers may be corrupted from the nvidia.
