problem with the elevator of the black mesa east

when i arive at the black mesa east i have to take an elevator to see a scientist i get inside but theres no way to make the darn thing to go up it wont move ???

I do have the same problem. The character stops talking, and after that whatever I do I cannot move the elevator up or down. The character stands still. If you have the answer by now, please inform me too.

did you buy legal copies of the game? pirated versions have glitches like this, in legal versions starting a new game has always fixed the problem, try verifying your game files through steam

my roomate had this problem, and he used this responce on a forum to fix it:

"i got ths prob, this is wot i did: as SOON as she stops talking press the quick save button, then load tht quick save and it should work, i dont know if you'v had your problem already done but this is just in case. this worked for me and should work for you"
