hey guys i have a problem just started today: i get a error and it say that my remote procedure [ rpc ] or something is shutdown and that my computer will shutdown in 50 sec, i first thougt it was a joke or something but my computer realy shutdown maybe you guys can help me out :flame:

This may be very serious, I read about something similar to this on another forum, it may be someone actually accessing your computer remotely and shutting it down this way. There's a windows update for it, if I recall correctly.

Yeah, its recent attacks, just enable firewall, pass your login and download the patch and you should be fine.

I had the same thing. just told the rpc to restart itself if it is shut down unexpectetly. (start->preferences->system->services->rpc->properties->behavier by fault or so, had to translate the names from the german version)

msblast.exe i think is the source, i looked at the code theres a little love message in it, lol. Anyways i just used Windows update and it wen bye bye.

I had that exact same problem this morning for the fist time ever and when I was in the car going to school they mentioned it on the radio it seems to be a major problem. lol I too fist thought it was a joke until my PC really turned off.
