So i set the dxlvl to 8.1 for a while to get some fps boost. When i tryed today to change it back, it wont go, the hardware level stays at 8.1 even after i put +mat_dxlevel 90 in the target thingy. I can play hl2 with no problems in dxlvl9 and i have never overclocked my gpu. I went though my .cfg file and the dxlevel isnt being controled from there. Anythoughts? I cant get it to look pretty again!! btw i have a 9800pro and a amd 2000+
