Project File Conversion - How to

Screw this, I'm installing VS.NET 2003.
I wanted to avoid doing that but it looks like I can't avoid it.

it only takes 20 seconds to convert to convert the file

worked fine for me. i converted back to 6.0

Ah OK, cool. Unfortunately I don't have VC 6! But 2005 is finally working, or so it seems :rolling:

I haven't been able to get the VC++ 6.0 converted workspaces to compile, it just locks up.

yeah i just tried to compile and it freezes :( maybe the convertor doesnt convert properly.

bug valve enough an maybe they'll release a 6.0 project file. or sum1 cud just put it all together themselves :D

Didn't Valve say they used VC++ 6.0 for Half-Life 2? I specifically remember them saying it but I can't find a quote. I wonder what made them switch...

no, they posted a messege on the hlcoders mailing list telling us they will most likely release the code for .NET 2003 only
