I'm all for it - but i'd love to see Glen and Yuri/Eres run rampant throughout the forums...

Samon and Ennui deserve to gain rank - just don't let all the power run to their heads...
 
I reckon recruit a few more mods and promote one or two up a notch to oversee them. The new mods can be trialed for a couple of weeks: first week under the supervision of the supermods, second week with the supermods ONLY looking after areas that these new mods don't cover so we can really see if they can do their job well when left to their own devices.

I obviously think Ennui is a good moderator or we wouldn't have brought him on to moderate for the ND forums, although even he has his moments :upstare:
 
Considering what I saw (and took part in) last night, yes you do... :p

Badger left, he was one of the biggest contributing mods, and a lot of the others are inactive.
 
It depends what you define as "contributing". Most of my moderation is silent - posts/threads get deleted, people get banned and you never get to see it. So from your perspective, I'm inactive.

That doesn't change the fact that there were, and usually is, a helluva lot of spamming and flaming last night with no moderators to catch it.

Plus, I wasn't talking about you, Pi. There are lots of mods on that list that have not visited the site in a long while. I dunno why they are kept mods since it just shows a much larger mod team than what actually exists.

Why do we have super moderators? Why do we restrict the regular moderators to certain sections? Do we not trust the staff?
 
It's more so that normal moderators focus on their respective sections.

Theres always a shoulder to cry on here. I suppose he does get Gman-Gordon threads. Perhaps instead of telling everyone 'we are closing the politics forum', you shoulda maybe just...done it. Arguing central is silly, rename it love shack or sommat.
