Ok, to settle and argument that my friend and I had, that geeks do in fact own, I came up with the following scenario. Ok, this sounds a bit gay but I can assure you that it is essential to understand the triumph. My mate is probably better looking than me…. He’s had more girlfriends, well longer relationships than me, but I’ve had my fair share of women too so I would say that we are pretty much on equal terms in the looks department, or at least what I lack I make up with in style, eheh.
Anyway, imagine the flowing. My mate dressed up and looking his best, and me with a Linux t-shirt on that I had made up online…. Who do you think would win in a pulling contest?? “HIM” I hear you cry….. Well that’s what he thought as well. Obviously being so confident he was willing to bet £10 on the deal that he could pull more chicks than me if we went out, based on the fact that what i wore was more geeky than a geek
Now, to cut a long story short…. I won
Basically, I wasn’t bothered about wearing a Linux t-shirt when I went out because I had realised any chick that knew what the hell Linux was, wasn’t really worth my time and any normal chick wouldn’t have a CLUE what the hell it meant.
Anyway, if you ask me, that’s proof geeks can still own. Try it, oh and btw, i dont think it would work with a Windows 98 t-shirt because its too well known so dont even try
