Propegenda, isn't that a sign of facism?

wait so this facility designed to manufacture medicine for iraq was al queda? youre right, lets not get into this. point is, i would be very mad if bush had manufactured the troops answers. from my point of view, it looks like it was just organized, not "scripted" a-la hl2 videos ;)
No, it was scripted. Again, for the fifth time, THEY WERE READING OFF A SCRIPT THE WHITE HOUSE PROVIDED FOR THEM AFTER THE WHITE HOUSE TOLD AMERICAN PEOPLE THIS WOULD NOT BE SCRIPTED.

And the stirke was against al queda, that was just one of the targets. That target had very close ties to Osama Bin Laden. But then again if you don't support this strike you support terrorism. :dozey: TERRORIST!!!!

For years now I have been wondering why people find it so shocking that their government lied to them :rolling:.

And No Limit, your avatar demonstrates how perfectly cyclopean your worldview is--you clearly have no depth perception and, like many others have stated before, you rant and rave one way all the time.

If you really cared about these issues you might look into getting active in politics in your county or township for starters, rather than inciting flamewars with a rather limited audience on a videogame forum, many of whom you have already heartily alienated. Get involved in a positive way. Your anti-Bush mudslinging is not helping in the least. He's an idiot--we get it! Let's move on and look to the next set of elections that are coming up where we can all vote to make a difference and evince positive political change.

EDIT: Oh, and if propaganda is such a sign of fascism
(its not!!!)
then all of your posts make you sound like one seriously fascist dictator.

Another one calling me out personally. I honestly don't know how I get so many of you fired up. Please do us all a favor and get off my nuts.

If you don't like my view point post why you don't like it. If you think I am actually trying to change the world by posting on this board you are deeply mistaken. All I am trying to do is educate some people that I have known for years now through this board. I have stated many times that I do not take politics as seriously as some of you seem to think I do in my regular life. This is simply a forum for me to vent off some anger with this administration and where it is driving my country. If you don't like my posts don't read them, if you think I am wrong point out how I am wrong, but for godsake; stop it with these stupid ass posts about how I shouldn't bother posting here.

Wonderfully put. With rhetoric like that, I can't imagine you'd be able to argue your way out of a pair of edible panties. And where did you get the idea that I was fired up? I didn't use any expletives or any huge bold fonts. Oh, and its your thread, so I will most certainly call you out.

Okay. I don't like your viewpoint because all you are doing with this post is bashing the administration for the same old tired crap and trying to instigate people. You segregate yourself from a lot of people by implying that all "right-wingers" are so hot-headed and ignorant that they won't even watch the video before posting a response. What about the conservative liberals and moderates and even liberal republicans out there that might want to get in on this rebellious teenage angst-fest thread? And the last line, "How many of you voted for this guy again?" is guilty of being serious flamebait. Why not be at all constructive instead of just creating a post demonstrating how incredibly naive you are that you are outraged because your administration lied to you and everyone else?

And take a history lesson before you start throwing around terms like "propaganda" and Fascism." It also doesn't hurt to spell them correctly.

Opinions are what they are and, as such, are never wrong. So your opinion here is not wrong. I am just of the mindset that if one is going to get into a political discussion, even in a videogame forum, one should do more than bitch and whine and swear and complain. It might be a good idea to suggest some of the measures that you and your "people that [you] have known for years now through this board," might go to in order to enact change. The crying you do makes you sound like a little baby that isn't getting his/her way and doesn't know how to do anything about it, so they just scream and ball. You should have posted this on the gamespot forums--at least there you could discuss this with other 12 year-olds who also complain poorly about Bush and the administration because their favorite pop-punk band said that it was the cool thing to do. If you're not going to do anything about it--stop complaining!

Very well said victimofscience, it hurts me that youre wasting your breath though. Some people will never get it. Ive been telling him that for months. He just never will. Some people think that a 5th grade US history course gives them all the right in the world to bitch and moan. cptstern at least does it with some dignity and wit.

Heh, I can agree with that. CptStern has much more integrity than No Limit.

I would love to have an argument with you but the problem is you don't ever post here. What you seem to do is watch all my posts like you have nothing better to do; hence the expression get off my nuts. You have 35 posts in the politics board, from what I've read, and this is the first time I even recall seeing you here, you are a smart person I would love to have a discussion with. But instead of trying me out and having a discussion with me you choose a random thread to tell me how much smarter you are than me. To tell you the truth you might even be, but if you don't participate in discussions with me, instead you call me out personally, I will never know that.

Newsflash for you, I like to start threads about the american leadership. This is a political topic I am very passionate about. If you do not like this topic you can simply not read the thread, what is so complicated about that? I instigate people, yes. You know why that is? Because every thread I made here in the last 5 months turned out like this. You have people like ghost that say they want to go to Iraq to commit atrocities and others that quote me in their sig line as if what some nerd behind a monitor says matters to everyone on this board. I should simply ignore this, yes, that part is my fault; but the problem is it has gotten to the point where only those few people stick around here anymore because of all the bullshit that has gone on here (and I am partly to blame for that. If people like you posted around here more often and participated in real discussion this might be a much better place; try me out some time.

Voting makes change in a democracy, people vote based on what they hear. Is that right, no, but you can't change it. It is up to the people that actually care to try and change political leaders in this country. To do that we try to educate people around us. I have a job, I have things to do, politics is not my life. You are acting as if I should be on a bus to DC to protest all my life; no, I try to change this country like everyone else does, by having discussions and then voting. I only visit one other political message board for information and then discuss topics here because of a few people I still respect. I am going to continue to do that until I am banned or until those people leave. If you do not like that I suggest you add me to your ignore list.

The problem is that you deliberately goad your opponents into anger by being an arse.

every thread I made here in the last 5 months turned out like this.

Perhaps that's because you call them things such as 'I just have one small problem with Republicans, they are lying scum shit'. Even the title of this very thread is needlessly provocative, not to mention incredibly stupid.

"Propegenda, isn't that a sign of facism"?

No, it's not at all.

My believe is that propaganda is present in all systems.

However it is certainly more prominant in some systems than others.

Thank you kindly for the compliment and I hope to eventually take you up on that, but it probably won't be during this administration since everything it does is wrong in your eyes, so I don't see how an intelligent discussion can ever ensue. Let's talk when McCain gets elected :).

I'll agree with that until I die. However, I don't think that misusing the words "Fascism" and propaganda" is the way to go about educating folks. Nor is yelling about how the administration is "whoring" our troops for political gain. If you are going to remark about this, don't forget to mention that its not just our troops he is "whoring," its anything and everything he can get his mitts on! He certainly whored 9/11 for political gain--it got him another 4 years! It got him Afghanistan and Iraq and who knows what else in the near future (there's no way in Hell I believe the talk of Saudi Arabia though).

I was thinking he should team up with Jack Thompson and go after Mother Nature(not that he isn't with his ludicrous ideas regarding the environment like withdrawing from Kyoto???). Seeing animals killing other animals on the nature channel might make me want to hunt, stalk, and slay the weak and old and sick in our society, so it would really be Nature's fault that I ate them alive. And its a lot more plausible than videogames being the cause as this stuff is real and goes on every day in places like the Serengeti and the Amazon and even your own backyard!!!

Anyway, its politics and its no surprise that anything that happens will be used for some sort of political gain by someone, but especially by the current administration (no matter who that might be).

Which one? I would suggest that if you want to get a broader understanding of the way "people who care" are thinking about politics, go to a few more political messageboards/newsgroups and maybe even some random forums that have a political section, like this one. I know you don't have a ton of time to devote to this endeavor, but you've had the time to rack up nearly 3000 posts here, so maybe spend a little more time doing research and a little less time posting reactionary threads. That way, you may have slightly fewer posts, but they will be more thoughtful (and therefore more helpful) and will most likely be more well-received than those you have made to date. Just a thought and not at all meant to cause offense .

Try me out. There were some times I agreed with Bush and you'd be suprised how many people have been able to change my mind. But you are right, I do not support this administration and don't think I ever will; that doesn't mean we can't have a discussion about why that is.

I mostly stay away from words like fascism (party because I can't spell them  ) and partly because of what you said. But like I said, lately things have been getting worse and worse on this board as far as intellectual discussions go.

Just a couple minor concussions; the main problem I had was that I thought about joining the war in Iraq 5 years from now when it was convinent for me.

Please right wingers, before you post watch the video.

This is another example of the white house propagenda machine, but this time they ****ed up big time. And afterwards the white house had the nerve to lie and say this wasn't staged.

How many of you voted for this guy again?
No, propaganda is not a sign of fascism. Communist regimes have used Propaganda as well. If anything, its a sign of extremism (radical OR reactionary) but you give the White house too much credit Limit, I would call this incompetence more than propaganda. If say... the Socialist Workers Party were elected and did the same thing, would there still be outrage from you?

Socialist workers party? I don't know why you brought that in here. I don't care who was elected, this is whoring the troops for your own political gain. And after all that this administration had the nerve to lie about it.
