i know its a prop but the paint peel doesnt have depth it should have a bump or a shade ...or maybe a bit more contrast. if u put a slight white highlight around each scratch onto the paint it will make it look a bit better.
apart from that nice work man lol i saw this on cgtalk..

yeah i think some specular and reflective maps will help bring the glass and metal out more ..but then it is a prop ..i tall depends on how much time you are willing to put into it.

thanks,
mindless_moder: the guy who i modeled this for didn't want a spec/bump map for his models, since it's ment to be used in mostly indy engines, but i do agree on the white highlight thingie around the scratches. I'll try and edit that a bit. And yes, i also posted it on CGtalk to get some crits from there aswell.

DoctorWeeTodd: It's the first time i used broken glass on anything, if you have any pointers on making more believable broken glass, by all means, inlighten me :)

Since we can use the model for our mod i might make a spec map + bumpmap for it (to be used in the mod). I'll post something later.

the edges that are cracked should have less opacity and they should be a white.
btw why are u helping a indy game when ur the leader of a mod? and quite a sucessfull one at that.

i'm not helping any indy game, it's a website that will sell models. they asked me and payed me to create 5 models for them.
About the details of this prop, you are correct at your crits, but as i was just playing BF2, those props have almost no details on them. They just slap a texture on it mostly. And i had a look at some of the CSS props, they have a lot more detail then BF2, but on some of them it's also very cheap. So, i'm not gonna edit this model here anymore, since players will just pass them ingame while'st shooting anyway. And these models are also for our mod, like i said on top, we can use them so i haven't made anything that wont make our mod :)

it looks fine too me and your textures have a unique stlye that gives them lots of character. even though they are static objects lol. how much are they paying you for the 5 models? make sure you copyright them.

heres a picture of all the models i did for them:

where did you learn to count? last time i checked that was more then 5 models :p j/k

anyways, im sure that some of the models are grouped together as one, but i cant tell which ones.

you cant copyright something you want to sell it doesnt make sense lol. not with models.
btw where can i buy these?

no i can't, you WILL be able to buy them at a website (still not online)
i will post the link when it does

of course you can copyright them other wise he could send them to the company and they wouldnt pay him.
