you're gonna spend like $400 tomorrow?
No, I've got my PSP already completely paid for. EB games had this deal going where you could turn in 3 xbx/ps2/gcn games to get 1 psp games. TM and Wipeout were on the list of tradeables, so I basically got those for free. I paid for lumines with cash. So basically, I'm jsut walking in tomorrow and grabbing on without giving them anything =).

I hate eb,
that's rediculous, 3 games for one.

and I've literally had them tell me "we'll take this game, however, you'll only get $1 for it"

Well, they were all crappy games. Games like enter the matrix and the simpsons road rage.

EB is a lot better then GameStop, though. I've had GameStop 'not get enough copies in to fill reserves' (far cry). Plus I'm #1 on the reserve list for the PSP's at EB, so I'm guarenteed to get one.

Don't get me wrong, I love my DS. I just think that Sony has outdone Nintendo this time. But I'm posivitive about this statement:

Revolution > Playstation 3

Had mine since xmas ... you guys are in for a real treat :D You'll see why you're paying a bit more than you do for the DS ... and you'll see that it's worth every cent.

to get animated bewbs?

(sorry I just had to say it :p)

I seriously can't stop staring at his avatar.

Pobz -- Does your PSP have a sticky square button? I hope that Sony has really fixed it as they say they have for the US launch.

Nope, mine was even made in the first batch of PSPs - yet it has no defects, not even a single dead pixel. :) Square button is fine, AFAIK it was a very small minority that had issues.

Do you know if Sony will offer any type of warranty?

DAMN THAT AVATAR! I like it =).

the PS2 has owned the GC throughout it's existence from all sides despite it's hardware being one year older.

now bring on your argument about how exactly should the revolution be better than the PS3, when the PS2 was not made for competing with other consoles and considering that Sony are now angry at microsoft for stealing their sales with their shit PC disguised as a console.

trizzm, that argument doesnt even belong in this thread, ok?

People are just to stubborn to give the gamecube a try, all the "it's so kiddy" is bullsh*t.

So anway.... PSP PS PPSPSP SPPS PSPS PSP SPPSPPS SPS PSPSP PSP

I have both GC and PS2..I like them both ALMOST equally.

Only difference is GTA series for me.

I'll be passing on the PSP for a while.

1] too expensive right now...I'd be happy with a bare bones PSP package....coming soon I hear and 2] I find buying Sony's launch hardware equivalent to buying real estate in the fiery pits of Hell.

I agree. I'd like to get one but its a tad too expensive at this time. It looks like a high quality unit and im a sucker for gadgets but I may have to pass it up. Now that I got a higher paying job, its kinda hard not to go on a spending spree. :p I'll probably just end up saving my money and buying things that I need or really really want.

For those of you who get one, enjoy. Don't forget to post impressions either. ;)

My bro just picked his up and sent me a picture of his copy of Lumines. I lose. :(

price is insanicidial, I have to decide basically between psp/1game/warranty or games for the rest of the school year/ some summer

very well said, they always make revisions :|

ps2 for a very long while was literally burning holes in bluray/dvds/cds for awhile...

Agreed. I'll get one, but am waiting for a few more decent games to come out (not really a Wipeout or Ridge Racer fan, which just leaves Lumines really ...... which is very cool, but not cool enough to justify all my spare cash :))

:) dammit i could have had one but i got too excited with my money and bought a ipod and a ps2 (for MGS3) with the moiney. oh well i;ll get one during xmas

I have the money, but I am not willing to spend it on this. I would empty my bank account. That wouldn't go over well with my parents. :\

Joy I got a christmas present to add to my list for this december! I'm not going to spend money on a PSP myself, things are a little to expensive for me when I barely work. Gawd gas is getting horrible again >_<

Though I wish I had money for it :( But the next free $100 is going to another 512mb stick of ram, I need more.

I might be able to save up enough money soon, but If I can't I still got my DS and its good.

PSP, no thanks.

I have a good quality home entertainment system for watching movies the way they were meant to be watched at home. I can't remember a time in my life when I was on the road and thought, "maybe I should buy another copy of a movie so I can watch it on this tiny little screen." I already have an MP3 player.

So why would I want a PSP? $250 dollars for a handheld that plays PS2 quality games. LOL, PS2 quality. Geesh sounds so tempting. I guess if the PSP was going to do something original or innovative I'd consider it. I don't game on the road at all, but at least with the DS you have something you can't get on one of the other consoles or the PC.

I got a psp...I'm happy beucase it's awsome. I'm pissed becuase it's got a dead pixel just like my first DS did, and EB games has no more to replace it with. Good thing I can get it replaced when they get more in.

Just kidding....that shit happens. I'd definitly get a new one whenever they get some more in.

That's just bad luck having dead pixels on both systems...hmm.

I'm going to get it replaced. I bought the 1 year plan too, so I'm fine. My second DS has been fine for about 5 months now, it's all good.

POBZ...I need your help. How did you get those pics onto you PSP? I have a sony USB cord I use for my digi cam, which is 5 pin like the psp's jack. How do I get windows to recognize that the psp is connected?

That was a good idea. I always buy the warranty no matter what console I buy or where I buy it.

I like Best Buy's 2 year PRP's the best. Great deal and I've never been hassled or anything.
