Psychonauts Gamespot review: Xbox and PC

Im wondering why they always give the console version higher scores. in most cases anyway.
Wondering what they'll give to HL2 for xbox.
ughh we dont like valve much but.....it's a console game.....what a hard choise...

I think PC score lower because using a keyboard is harder than a controller when it comes to platformers.

Oook...
I'd imagine console games have an edge in something like this due to ease of use and superior control.

I dont see anything wrong with the computers controls as i thought the demo was great fun and highly original. Think i'll look into to getting this as i haven't played a game this good and original since Beyond Good and Evil and that game rocked.

To be honest, I just don't trust Gamespot with reviews (for my taste in games) anymore. After what they gave Half-Life 2, Jade Empire, Halo 2, Chaos Theory, etc.

Why exactly, all those games got great scores?

In general I'd say Gamespot gets pretty close even though I think their rating system is kinda flawed (I just don't like the average for the overall score).

I tried the demo, seemed pretty cool. I'll stick to Ratchet & Clank though. Up Your Arsenal has had me entertained for over 30 hours now and I still have yet to get everything. Once I do I'll probably just start all over again :)

Yes and no. I see no balance to the way they score their games.
While I very much appreciate them never giving out 9.8's and such like IGN does, I find no balance in their rating system. Halo 2 so overwhelmed Half-Life 2 according to them.
Also, Jade Empire and Chaos Theory (great games, imo), could barely score an 8.6 (if I remember correctly?). They're trying to tell me that Halo is almost a full point better than two GOTY candidates? Think not.

Anyway, this is just for my particular taste in games. Sorry to go so off-topic here.

Yeah true, they are very inconsistant at times. As for Halo 2 overwhelming HL2 thats no really true, as they did give Half-Life 2 Shooter of the Year over Halo 2. But yeah, they have been a little harsh lately towards some games, namely Jade Empire and Chaos Theory.

you are just giving us the reason.
The gave halo 2 Higher score but they gave half-life 2 best shooter of the year
How's that even possible??

More likely because most console games on the PC are asscrap ports just to make as much money as possible. And plus they'll crash more often, once again due to the asscrap porting.

Halo 2 was reviewed by a single person, Half-Life 2 was award Best Shooter by the staff as a whole.
