Slipknots new singel. I think it's ****ing awesome. Anyone listen?

Slipknot
Why the hell does this band have 9 goddamn members in their band, and make music, 4 members could make..

Bah, they make some good music. Who cares?

I really dislike Slipknot so I listened to this song and I really disliked it.

Sounds... like a Slipknot song. I actually didn't mind The Subliminal Verses, but it's sounding kind of tired now. Cue monotonous rant/rap style verse over chunky, repetitive riff. Cue melodic chorus over slightly different riff. Cue shreddy, uncreative solo. Cue obligatory heavy bridge/breakdown dealie. Cue backup percussionists contributing absolutely nothing to the final sound. Wear masks. Print.

Always enjoyed Slipknot. Great work music, and it royally pisses people off when you tell them what you're listening to.

All shit aside with the masks and the usual criticism, I still listen to them and Iowa is a good album.

Anyhow, this new track. Not bad. But as a band, they're sounding somewhat diluted from what they used to be. Maybe it's just my taste that's changed.

Imo this singled sounded a bit Iowa-ie , to see what i mean listen to this then listen to left behind. Maybe its just me but whatever...

It sounds like clasic slipknot i think. Every band has their sound, that they will reuse. Every band/singer does this.

Holy **** their new album is amazing. I'd heard a couple of songs on Kerrang! but not enough to get any real feel of what they were like. I like their early stuff so bought this the other day and...just ****ing wow!

I know people instanstly dismiss Slipknot, and whatever. This is something great, not a album to change the world of music, but easily the best album from Slipknot. Heavy, thrashy, dark, melodic, new and fresh. Great stuff.

Holy jebus, 'tis out?

Heh, never even realised. I'll definitely check this one out. I just bought "Forth" and it's a wee bit before payday, but dangit I'll get it.

*applauds*

They're really starting to retread old ground IMO.

The scary thing is, these guys probably aren't trolling.

I only really like a few songs from the new album. They just dont feel like they used to , it almost sounds like stone sour now. Oh well.

It's funny because I used to listen to alot of this Nu Metal back then, well it was their old sound. Bands like this, machine head, korn, sevendust, disturbed, ill nino and all. Never ever liked SOAD though. Now i can't get back to it at all, unless I want the occasional heavy..

After listening to a few songs again i sort of change my mind. Its ok but thier earlier stuff was definatly alot better imo.

The new songs are as said before, good. But eariler stuff is definitely better. But it's new, and will there for be listend to. I really like psychosocial and the title song thou. Might find others after repeted listens.

Just saw them 2 weeks ago at the Rockstar Mayhem festival...AMAZING. I love the new album too, Pyschosocial is such a good song.
