Has anyone ever pulled a muscle and got spasms, or either one of them?

I have an it was one of the worst experiences ever... Got in a fight with my brother and some how I landed awkwardly and ended up pulling a muscle in my lower back, and then getting excruciating back spasms which made it extremely hard to walk.

I pull a muscle almost every day.

*snickers*

I had really bad back spasms once and I couldn't get out of bed. My father SWORE I meningitis and we were in the emergency room all night. Other than that one time, I never had them.

I pulled my back muscle not too long ago. No idea how, but that shit hurt for a couple weeks, especially at first; I had to keep my back perfectly straight or experience substantial pain. So like, I had to squat with my legs to get in the fridge. Ridiculous.

My parents have informed me that the mattress I'm sleeping on is a lot older than I am (30+ yrs), so this thing of fail plus bad posture and weird sleeping positions now have my back in a condition where I get excruciating spasms almost every day

I've never had any kind of painful spasm. More of a twitch in my arm. I usually don't realise what's happening until just before it stops.
The effect is something like when you're just nodding off to sleep and your blood pressure drops and you do that thing where your whole body jumps and you look like a fool! A fool!

I have pulled a muscle before, but it's not a regular occurance.

Also twitching while falling asleep is awesome Farrow. Even better is waking yourself up laughing at a dream though, that was the best wakeup ever.

I swear sometimes I've got huntington's.

nah, i bet it's munchausen's.

I purposely pull my leg muscles sometimes. It hurts but after the pain it feels very relaxed. I guess having no pain after a lot of it will do that :p

My friend told me how he had a neck spasm when he was playing some game online and the only other person there was my other friend who had to ring 999 because he was on the floor unable to move. Needless to say i laughed for a good 5 minutes when he told me at school the next day. Ive pulled a muscle in my thigh a couple of times i think.

i get the shakes every now and then, and a little twitching, but nothing serious.

I get spasms a lot, but nothing too worrying.

Haven't had either, but since yesterday I've been feeling like there's bugs crawling on my arms and legs. I look and nothing's there, then I start twitching.

lmao, that's a symptom of crack use, isn't it?

I woke up this morning for some reason but started to fall back asleep when something landed on my arm and started quickly crawling around. It was dark in my room, and I figured it was a stupid beetle or something the way it looked in the dark. ****.

I swatted it across the room like an ogre. So then I'm finally falling back asleep when I hear that bitch land on the wall next to my bed. "That's it, you're ****ing dead.", I generously informed him.

So the next half hour of my life involved hunting a god damn wasp. This event culminated with a good head crushing from a Snap-On screwdriver after the initial concussion from a flyswatter.

Anyone ever pull a muscle in your neck where you have to have your head tilted to one side or it's super painful?

Happened to me three times... It sucks so much.

Yes I have, and it hurts extremely bad, you have to keep your head perfectly straight.

Substance D, actually.

I'll give kudos to anyone who I genuinely think gets that reference.

Oh, and yeah. Bitch and moan all you want about pulling a muscle, try breaking your leg in four places. It blows ass when you're out in the boonies and wait for an hour before they stick a needle in ya.

But yeah, I've pulled muscles and gotten spasms a bunch, comes from camping on the ground and/or physical labor.

Not usually, but I had the most agonizing muscle spasm imaginable a couple of months ago. I was fast asleep in a B&B we had just arrived in in the Lake District sleeping off the journey, and then I got jolted awake by the most unbelievable pain in my shin. It's like all the muscles had just locked up and I just wanted to scream. Just kept kicking the bed trying to get it to stop but it went on for about a minute. It eventually stopped but remained painful for ages and kept feeling like it was going to go into spasm again if I moved it.

When I got up several hours later I couldn't even bear weight on it, it was too painful. I thought that was going to be the end of my holiday, especially as the intarweb said it was quite a serious injury that could take days if not weeks to recover from, but my friend suggested putting heat on it by switching on the convector heater and putting my leg right next to it - which actually worked, and I kept doing that and I was fine within a couple of hours.

I assume it was caused one way or another by being cramped up in a fixed position on the bike on the motorway for 12 hours that day aggravated possibly by previous injury, but it was very strange and fortunately it's only happened the once. I don't recommend the experience to anyone!

For some reason I get can small, completely painless and random muscle spasms in any part of my body. It's not a constant thing though, it comes and goes.
