I've been trying to gain 10 pounds this week. I've made it to 5 pounds so far and wonder if theres anything I can do to gain some extra energy to pack the pounds on ASAP. I'm on Creatine and am taking Whey Protein and hitting the weights pretty hard. I'm wondering if theres anything else I can do?
 
eat a shit load of junk food.
dont exercise at all.
sit at the computer and talk to friends all day.

list goes on my friend, or did you want healthy ways?
 
I lost a stone over the last week due to illness. I'm extra-gaunt now.

Unhealthy ways just wont cut it. People always tell me "Just eat more, then you'll gain weight." But infact, i just poop more if i do that.
 
Eat little amount very often, don't have meals but be constantly eating.
If you have to make a meal in one go eat 1/2 of it now and then 1/2 an hour later if you know what i mean.
It allows your body constant food supply and you will gain weight.
If you eat loads you start to shit like a donkey though.

Cut down of cardio exercise if you do lots, more energy spare then.

Eat all the right foods for bulking.
Nuts, plenty of meat and fish, tons of rice, pulses etc etc, you have to eat beyond your hunger sometimes.
Also with your weight routine (you prob know this but nvm) exercise a different muscle group each day allowing around a week for each to recover, but each time you work the group really do work them with heavy weights.

but seriously the best way is to do a lot of excercise that way you'll need to eat more ..and dont waste time with vegetables ..eat heavy food: meat, pasta bread etc

Drink that stuff that makes you gain muscle faster... It has like protein in it or somthing. I dont know the name of it but I know it works my brother uses it.
 
Yeh there you go..... I dont know all I know is that my brother got buff and he really did not even work out all that much.

what is more efficient to build muscle (as in making the muscle bigger): to do little but very heavy weights, or to do a lot of weights, but the weights are lighter?
 
I want bulk, and ive heard heavier weights work better for that. Little weights make you ripped.
 
Heres an insiders tip, for like 3 days straight I ate like crazy and I gained like 4-5 lbs. At taco bell I had 5 tacos then went home later had some pasta...the next day ate like crazy ect... Im like 122 now...from about 118 so I can work with this. But yeah Im with ya buddy Im also trying to gain like 10-20 lbs.
 
Don't lift too much too often or you will rip a muscle and will be forced to lie down for a month during which you will atrophy 20 pounds of body mass. And even if the effects aren't immediate, you'll regret it when you're in your mid 50s and taking daily painkillers for your back.

Slow and steady wins the race.
 
I'd love to gain alot of weight too...currently 6'4" and 160 lbs :(
 
One thing is for sure, ill never eat that many peanuts again. That much protein is just not worth it. My pipes are clogged and im afraid to see whats inside.

Go to dunkin donuts.. order a dozen donuts..all u need

nah jhust go intoa kebab shop 5 mins before closing and get one, you will loose plety if u have one the next day aswell
 
Simple solutins:


Buffets. Pay 3 dollars, eat all the cheap fatty food you can, go home and sleep, next day do it again. :D

Anouther thing you should thing about: drink LOTS of coke. Not diet, but normal Dr. Pepper or whatever. Those things are loaded with sugar, and sugar pretty much instantly metabolizes into fat stores, which in turn will make you gain weight and make it a little easier to buff up by supplying a little extra energy.

(Did you know that it is very possible to lose all your body fat in one day, just start running, and depeding on how athletic you are, your glycogen in your blood stream and your muscle's reserves of glycogen will wear out, and you'll feel like you've hit the "wall", keep running though, and you'll soon feel like you've got all the energy in the world, your "second wind", and that's because your body has started breaking fat down into ATP and glycogen for your muscles to use. Keep running long enough and all your fat will be used up. However, this is very, very unhealthy to do, and the metabolism almost automatically adjusts to store up every ounce of lost fat again no matter what.)

Boly shit, that sounds awesome.. but yeah, very unhealthy too.. and i can't imagine how much muscle you'd lose..

I would like to gain weight also but I dont want to get fat... Just get buff... Any suggestion?
