Cool! Can't wait to do some wicked aerials. The demo is for the PC, yeah?

I believe a PC demo is planned but no date set yet :(

Interest. gone.

What the hell is Pure, anyways?

Don't like ATV racing games at all, but due to certain people on this forum I will be giving it a try. ;)

Anyone try this out in the end ? :)

Pretty cool demo. Bearing in mind it's not really my type of game - I thought it was great fun.

Probably not something I'd buy personally, but thumbs up from me.

*shrugs*

I guess I'll check it out. I've been looking for a good racing game for PC. Hopefully it won't be too long before Burnout Paradise hits. The new pack they released for the PS3 looks awesome.

This is of course just my own opinion, but the game "Pure" is a big disappointment. The 2 biggest gripes I have with the retail game are as follows.

1) Very limited to almost no Ragdoll. Crash & the screen fades to grey almost instantly. If I catch some massive air, I want to see my body tumble if I fall off my bike & in the full game, there are some seriously huge jumps. Of course there is no blood, guts, gibs or large splatters of goo that used to be a quad rider after having fallen from an insane distance.
2) If you go off a jump, you can actually control the direction you move while in mid-air & it takes no skill what-so-ever to land a jump that just put you into outer space. WTF? True, you do need to time your tricks, but I still wasn't impressed.

The fact that the game was made by Disney should have been an indication that it was geared for younger players. I, however, seemed to have somehow overlooked that fact. Also, those that follow Disney programs & games, do not always have a cutting edge PC & I noticed that I got ok to good performance at best. The game does look nice & the sound track is decent, But I feel that the game is not optimized as well as it could/should have been or as scalable to run on older hardware as it should have been.

The game is fun, but be forwarned of it's faults is all i'm going to say. There are a couple features that I liked, that happen at the very beginning when you start a new game, but i'll not mention them here so as to not spoil it for anyone that gets the game.

Bottom line, if you enjoy Motorcross or ATV racing type games, then I would recommend MX vs ATV Unleashed. instead

They use the shortened crash sequence because this is a race. Other things are going on around you and if you watched your ragdoll keep going on for 10 seconds you would be extremely far behind and could never catch up.

As for the difficulty, It starts off rather easy. However, when you reach the later half of the game (stages 6-10) It can get quite difficult. I don't think it is necessarily targeted for kids at all.

I've enjoyed the game so far. Online play is amazing. One of the most lag-free, 16 player racing games I have ever played on a console. The net code is well put together.

"Press space to skip long ragdoll sequence"

Easy fix.

Exactly. Well said.

I also didn't like how while going over jumps at the same time with several other riders around you, not once did I get knocked off or knocked off anyone else off their quads. It would be great if you could grab the guy next to you & throw him/her off her quad mid-air during a big jump. It would be even cooler if there was a cinematic cam when you did. Again thanks to non-violent Disney, this game really could have been so much better.
