Pure Sports Embrassment.

Yesterday Fizzlephox and I were betting(no money, just fun) about how the Texas Rangers' season would be. I knew they would eventually lose like always...and that they were only on a winning streak. Poor Fizzlephox became a fan recently with them actually managing to win a game or two, and had faith in them until tonight. I told him they would lose and he disagreed. Well, they lost by one point. Anyway, I was just wondering if any of you share Sports embarassments. Like how we have the worst team in baseball.

i used to play baseball. i was up to bat, and you know how awesome baseball players spit all over the place. i turned my head to spit and it ran all the way down my shirt in a big ass gob. wasent much fun.

The Red Wings got shutout in two straight games and eliminated from the NHL playoffs. Embarrasing and disappointing. :angry:

Rangers still have a chance. They have a good looking future seeing as how quick they recovered from sucking to being good, all thanks to getting rid of A-Rod.

Actually, he was all that was going for them for a few minutes. They got rid of him, got the crazy idea they're a good team, then remembered they suck and lost.

but they lost to calgary, calgary is a damn good team. hell my avs lost tonight to the sharks ;( but oh well... *sigh* always next year.

...i would have loved to have seen an avs/red wings matchup.

talk about embarrassing... being a denver nuggets fan all these years. oh well they finally made the playoffs this year. who cares if they got eliminated in 5 games...

Yeah, Calgary has as good a chance as the rest to win it all. I'm rooting for them (Canadian :thumbs: ). Looks like the Wings/Avs rivalry will have to be rekindled in a future playoff matchup.

i hate detroit and colorado. People not from that area will only cheer for them because they win. Bandwagon jumpers annoy me. Detroit is like the Yankees. They have practically unlimited pay roll and buy the talent.

agreed, i hate bandwagon jumpers. shoulda seen it with all the denver nuggets "fans" ... all these people liking the nuggets suddenly just because they had a good season... bs. heh one of my friends is suddenly all into sports, which irritates me because now he acts like he knows everything about them, but he doesn't really know much ... tee hee.

edit: oh yeah, ... agreed, nhl should get a salary cap.

edit again: not sure who i'm rooting for now. i'm excited about the sharks calgary matchup now... looks like it'll be a good series. ...but i kinda like tampa bay also... dunno why heh. i guess i should root for the western conference though :thumbs:

omg yes. I know. Bandwagon jumpers annoy me so much.

Especially people who have never played a minute of hockey their whole life, then cheer for leafs during the playoffs then consider themselves experts on the game.

Also, people who don't watch football all year then watch the superbowl and think they know everything.

Most people know they're bandwagon jumpers when they watch the superbowl though, so it's ok.

Like right now, I'm bandwagoning Calgary because the Leafs got knocked out, but since all of Canada is the exact same as me, I don't care.
