I am sitting here on my mothers new laptop that she purchased from a retail store, and I felt it needed cleaning...badly. Went through and uninstalled a whole bunch of shit that wasn't needed, and now her CDROM drive will not load. Apparently the file is missing or corrupt.
The file is in the drivers folder, so I'm guessing when I unistalled a program, it made sure you know that it's gone by corrupting the file. Anybody have the file in good working order? Everywhere I CAN download requires me to pay anything from$15 - $20.
If you can tell me how to remove the driver from anything to do with the CDROM drive, much obliged.
