"I'm playing Quake in front of the men from id - and the men from id think that I'm a noob".

interesting article on hands on impressions of quake 4 DM ..for what he says not a whole lot has changed from Q3 ...it seems as if the guys at id are making a living off of regurgitating their games every few years ...what happened to innovation, what happened to the maveric spirit ID was so well known for back in the day ...I guess it's up to 3rd party developers to create something truely compelling with the doom 3 engine (I'm looking at you splash damage)

I dont really care about Quake 4, (I was terrible at Quake 3 deatchmatch) so im hoping that Prey will deliver what its been promising for 10 years

looking forward to quake 4 deathmatch even know i'll never be able to play it because i'm going uni in halls without internet

Id isin't responsable for Quake 4, Madison Wisconsin based Raven software is (a very innovative developer in and of its self I might add, being responsable for some of my favorite PC games). Id is working on an IP.. one that looks quite promising from the whispers and rumors.

Quake Enemy Territory seems worth the wait, I'd say drop this, and pick up Q:ET

To be fair, this is what people have been calling for, a new-gen fast DM game.

I for one am glad :)

Probably dumb question, but whats an IP? Tell me more!

IP = Intellectual Property

I am more interested in the single player aspect of Q4 personally..Looking like Doom3 but faster paced and all that hype-stuff...Yeah!!

But its an FPS..Most of us will at least play it at a friends house..or "rent" it! ;)

Can't wait! Everything I've showed points to it being awesome in the competitive gaming communiity! :D

That's what I'm thinking too, unless they happen to bundle Q4 and QW together.
