Anybody know anything about the Quadro FX 3000 from Nvidia? Is it a new line of cards?
 
all i know Nvidia IS EVIL!!!!! ATi, see the truth kevin. I spend too much time on these forums....

listening to the music wont block out the horrible truth behind that snazy slogan(the way its meant to be played) ATi doesnt need a slogan! Come to the dark side Kevin...
 
I benchmarked Ut2003 today with our card and the old drivers, Best FPS ever!

To answer your question...

It's a developer and workstation card. If 3DSMax is your thing, htis is your card. if you have a few thousand to plunck down on it. And don't play games.
 
yep, anything with Quadro/FireGL or any name you see in front of the actual card model that has stayed the same for years is almost strictly used for heavy graphics; take a 9700pro, for example, a scene in 3dsmax may run only at 18fps with that, but take a Quadro card and you'll more than double that most of the time
 
I read somewhere that quatro doesnt run games? dunno, it is for sure not a 3d card for gaming

It will run games, but the heavy drivers make it lose lots of performance.

And the QuadroFX3000 isn't really a new card, it gives just about the same performance as the 2000, but Nvidia added these extra features which make it better for *really* large displays among many monitors/tv's
