I'm a big fan of Quake 2, and was thinking about starting a Quake 2 inspired mod using the Source engine. This time around, though, I want the Quake universe to be populated with interesting characters, and Valve's source technology seems perfect for this, with the incredible detail/emotions available to them. A strong storyline will be one of the game's big features, along with varied and innovative gameplay. My ambitions for this mod include:
1: A colorful cast of characters to populate the world
2: A highly detailed setting
3: A wide array of weapons and creatures
4: Many different styles of gamplay
I will be the writer/designer, constantly trying to create a concrete story and a believable world, but other's input will be welcomed!. I am currently looking for mappers, programmers, 3d modellers, texture/concept artists etc.
