would've helped to have known what you were buying beforehand eh?

you connect the adsl line to the router. then you get an ethernet cable and you connect that up to your PC. that will enable your PC to connect to the internet.

now have you got a wireless or a wired router? if it's wireless then naturally there's no wires involved. i'm guessing it's a regular wired router, so you'll need an extra long ethernet wire to connect your router to your second pc. that way both pcs have their own connection to the router, which in turn is connected to the adsl line. with me?

hope that covered everything.

Sometimes with ADSL you'll need to actually configure the router, hopefully you kept all the documentation. With a cable connection it's usally pretty straight forward, I'm a little rusty on my memmory so i might be wrong on my terms, but i think it needs to be set up for PPOE or something for ADSL, you'll need to have the password and login name input into the onboard memory on the router, and some other settings set up, if it has good documentation it should be able to walk you through it.

I'm confused about what you mean about an 80 pound modem/router, all you should need is a 20 Ounce ADSL Modem connected into a wired or wireless router. Give us a little more info on what this 80 pound router/modem is. Could you have accidently bought a server? :-P
