Question about Gordon & Shephard

Technically, Valve owns the rights to Adrian Shephard now.

I like the shepard job but gordon came in and finished up shepards job and shepard is sleeping, hooked on sleeping pills...

Well, the Gman is kinda sadist.

Maybe five seconds after he left Adrian in OpFor he comes bach with a Deagle, says "Gotcha, sucka!!" and shoots him in the face? :sniper:

The truth is sheppard is gearbox's creation and since opposing force we havent seen hide nor tail of him to be truthful unless someone resurects the project that gearbox started with him, he just wont return. Also Valve made it very clear that there was no one else in their roster besides freeman who can pull the job off. I mean even in the games the characters that came in contact with him dont seem to be around in hl2 or no one remembers him or what he did. Hell, I can barely remember what he did. I dont know what so many people have against Adrian but he rubbed off on me and I for one would like to see him return in his own side of the story or at least as a supporting charater or maybe as a Backup plan for the G-Man, seeing that gordon was stolen(not sure about wheather or not he was.)

Im a little fuzzy about that please explain, how he did that happen havent played OF since it came out.

Im pretty sure Shepard isnt just a "witness". There were plenty of witnesses, and G-Man only locked up Shepard (He might of POSSIBLY locked up some more. But time will tell). I believe that Shepard will have some future use.

Shepard Will Never Return!!! Because The Gman And His Employers Locked Him Away Because He Was A Liability To Them As He Was A Witness!!!!!!!!!!!he Seen Gman Activate The Nuke!!!he Seen Black Ops Kill Everyone And Noone Else Did!!!!he Will Never!!! Ever Return!!!!

Never!!! Ever Return!!!!
Im not really on either side of what will happen to Shepard. Gearbox might of done that just to get him out of Valves way. Or hell, he MIGHT come up in time. Who knows.

Valve have hinted that they are or are considering putting him to use again. Judging by the weapon's name in Portal, that vessel is a likely candidate.

I was wondering, who owns the rights to use the character of adrian
shephard, gearbox or valve? also, is there a possibility of corporal
shephard making another appearance? i am sure you get asked these
questions all the time and any insight would be greatly appreciated.

that is what i had posted when i linked my email in that poorly thought out thread i made. i had a really dumb blonde moment.

Another cryptic response from Valve, is that yes he`s coming back, or yes they get asked this all the time?

Ooh, that's an interesting way of looking at that question. Best case (or worst for some of you) scenario all he admitted was that there was a chance Shephard would come back. Also a chance he might not. :(

well to be honest i was just really surprised i actually got a reply.

I hope he comes back, so all the people who hate him could get mad.

Note; I am not taking any sides here.

i just think he would make a good sort of doppleganger type character for gordon. kinda like venom for spiderman only less cool.

Possibility, not certainty. They aren't going to limit the publics imiganation on him returning, they know people will post these emails back. Of course he is going to say maybe. But is he proably going to be back...Maybe. But maybe not.

Valve did say, "I imagine we'll get back to him sometime."

I don't know why they wouldn't. Barney Calhoun has made it into the HL2 scenario, Shephard will return eventually. It is the way of things. Some people like it, some don't. I'm indifferent to it myself. Although I will admit I am interested to see how Valve will decide to implement him into the future story.

Apparently it was a reply by Gabe to a Shephard fan or something like that.

People are probably wanting to see what really happens to them. Its kinda boring to have a character just get locked up in stasis by some guy in a suit.

If you hate Shepherd, you may as well hate Freeman, being that Shepherd is just a copy of Freeman... only diffrence being that he's a solider, not a lab jockey.
