Question about Shyamalan's new movie.

Hey yall, it's been a while. My anticipation about HL2 has long since ceased, but I've got a question about M Night Shyamalan's new movie. I remember sometime last summer, someone was talking about his new movie in this forum, and they mentioned that it was about some sort of mythical creature, but I forget what it was. It was something like leprechauns or elfs or something like that. Sorry to intrude, but if anyone remembers the discussion, could you help me out?

Well, I believe it was called something like "The Village" or something of a similar name.

but there's a 7 and a half minute preview when they put on Unbreakable. woohoo!

[edit] and leprechauns and elves seem too funny. i can't imagine the movie having little guys running around the forest tormenting villagers.

Someone posted what the mythical creature was last summer/fall, I just can't remember exactly what it was for the life of me. It is something like elves or leprechauns though, I remember thinking "that sounds a little goofy". But it's Shyamlan, so you never know.

AFAIK its about that village as mentioned, and a load of strange creatures in the forest beyond, the villagers don't dare go in the forest and the creatures don't leave it. Then one day some guy turns up and wonders why, so he goes into the forest which results in the creatures realises they can do the same and go into the village and loads of people get killed probably

I imagine I've made a great film sound terrible with my little preview/review lol

The village is actually isolated from the modern day world because of their fear of the 'creatures' who are actually modern day people. So this film isnt really set in the past at all....

(and at me for being an idiot that highlighted it. great...) now somebody will have to erase it from my memory... i had the sixth sense spoiled for me, so the movie wasn't as great as i should've been .

Better not be some dumb ending like his last two films. Can't he just make a good thriller without trying to mimic his awesome-ness in the 6th Sense??

So far, trailer is alot like "Signs" meets Thanksgiving.
