Question about steam and hl2

Okay i noticed swearing the voices of half life 2 from watchin someone play a stolen copy of it at this lan party but when ever im playing Counter Strike or anything on steam for the people that dont think it's okay too swear but they is just find and dandy if blow someones HEAD OFF WITH A .45 MAGNUM! or about blowing someones torso too hell and laugh about it i was banned for 2 hours for swearing while playing on steam i think the overall Steam admins arent very bright if this keeps up im not even gonna buy Half life 2 or Counter Strike Source when they release SO HERE IS MY DAMN QUESTION! AM I GONNA KEEP ON GETTING BANNED FROM STEAM FOR STUIPID GARBAGE LIKE THAT?!?!?

That wasn't a question. But the admins on servers aren't anything to do with Steam they are just people like you and me who decide to set up a server. Valve have no control on the rules they set on the server.

A lot of servers allow swearing so just play on another server.

You're not banned from Steam for anything except credit card fraud and/or repeated use of fake CD-Keys.

You can be banned from secure servers for cheating.

You can be banned from individual servers at the whim of the admin of that server.

The server admins for individual servers set the rules for individual bans for INDIVIDUAL servers.

Try a different server.

I know I'd ban you from my server. I think a 5 year ban would be appropriate. Then you can come back and we can determine if you've matured enough to not ban again.

lol this guy is crazy...i think you need to calm down, i don't think we are promoting violence by playing it, i think we prefer to play it for the reason its fun.
