Question about the Quake III Source Code...

Well, I downloaded the Quake III (3) Source Code, and now i'm wondering what to do with it... how do you make mods from it, etc. I ask, because me and a group of people are planning on making a standalone game, not to sell or anything just standalone...

Well you have all the code to the engine, so you can read tutorials up on making mods for Quake3 (planetquake.com has some or at least links to some) and you should be ready to go.

EDIT: I've looked at some tutorials and it says i need the Q3Radiant map maker or something like that, do you know where i can get it or if it would come with the source code?

Ummm well the source code to the editor is in there, however you need retail
Quake3 to use the stuff (you can pick it up for like 5 bucks I bet at like Best Buy)
