Question: how does one pre-order HL2 through Steam?

surely all info is in the title

since it SEEMS TO ME that HL2 will be released through Steam before retail, I dont want to wait. so to have most of the files sent to my pre-cache, how do i preorder?

im sure that i am not the only one who would like the juice on this one.

Good question Templar. I can only assume that it'll be enabled in a steam client update either on or a few days prior to Sept 30th
