Has anyone here used www.importmadness.co.uk? I'm really tempted to get a DS from them... assuming i can fund it as well as christmas presents... but I was just wondering if anyone knew what I should expect from them.

They mention there may be extra costs to get it into the country, but how much would this be, and how are they enforced? I've bought R1 DVD's before and never had to deal with it so i'd really appreciate it if someone could explain the process a little.

Thanks.

Nintendo have filed a law that makes it illegal to import nintendo products. all retail stores have now stopped selling imported nintendo games and consoles. dunno about the net thouhg, might be legal as it is sending via mail.

As far as I know, it's illegal for any companies in the UK to import things, but it's OK for a US company to sell US items overseas. I guess technicly it's "exporting" ;)

I ordered 2 wavebirds and a couple of Cube games from IM a few months back, had no problems and they arrived reasonably quick(within 7 days).

The only thing is they take the money from your account immediately rather than when the items ship.

So the customs charges are a hit and miss affair? I just have to hope I'm lucky and no one looks into the package too closely ;)

Thanks for the response tho... now I just have to get my hands on the money.
