Ok First Off:

1 - What are safe overclock rates that a stock AIW 9800 PRO can handle without extra cooling.

2 - I am looking to buy a new fan to put on top of my AIW 9800P core chip, I was wondering if you guys had any recommendations on a fan I should use. (Products, Links, Tutorials, anything) Also some imformation on fans that fit in the PCI slot (I have 1 PCI free both on top of the card and bottom.)

3 - My card came with default rates: 378 / 337.50 are these rates wrong for a 9800PRO?

4 - Also for some reason, AIW 9800 Pros don't have individual heat sinks on the DDRRAM on the card. But regular 9800 PROs do... would this make a card over heat alot more???

Thx in advance.. P.S. im using latest Omega Drivers

You could use Powerstrip to OC and it should be supported with the latest ATI drivers. Not sure about Omega but it should work.

OC a little at a time. Test inbetween.

9800Pro 128mb core and memory clock are 380mhz/340(680)mhz I believe.

As long as you have good case cooling don't worry.

To give you an idea I just OCed my 9800Pro, which had the same core/memory clock speed that yours does, to 10% increase (418.5mhz/371.25mhz) and OCed my Athlon XP 2800/PC2700 (166mhz)RAM to Athlon XP 3200+(200x11)/200mhz Memory speed.
Got 6242 on 3dmark2k3.
1,700 something on 3dmark2k1.

Yah, Powerstrip and Tweak3D (from www.rage3d.com) are both good GPU ocing utilities. I haven't seen a 9800pro that couldn't do at least 420/360 on stock cooling with descent case cooling, that's should be a pretty safe place to start off.

ATi cards are great to OC cause they make it very obvious when you've gone too high. You get a checkboard pattern of little white dots all over your screen when the card is being pushed beyond it's thermal limits. These dots are very apparent in DX9 applications like Test 4 in 3DMark03 or Aquamark, so I suggest you download those two to test your overclock.

I just ran battlefield 1942 and I could see artifacts pretty well when I went too high.
If your core is OCed too high usually you have tiny spotted specs.
If your memory is too high, it can look like an old movie with random artifacts that are usually larger.
