Hey guys, my friend asked me if I would be able to take a summer high school math coarse for him to get a better grade then he had got, its a 10 day one cus he passed with a 51. I really dont think ill do it....but If I do go and impersonate him and get caught what could happen? I'm just curious of any laws about this kind of thing. Im in Canada, Ontario if that helps any. Thanks alot, and yeah its a pretty random question but it kinda made me curious for an answer lol.

Fraud? Identity theft? Moose lynching?

You will suffer the consequences of all of these.

What are some specific penalties tho like.. jail time? fines? what could happen to me.

One, lawl at getting caught. Two, HE will get in way more trouble than you.

You will probably get a stern talking to, that's it.

how much is 10 days of your time worth? I cant see why anyone would want to do this unless there were some sort of money involved ..I think $1000 for 10 days + good grade isnt unreasonable ..you're a fool if you do it for significantly less

anyways you're still a minor so there wont be much a penalty ...perhaps suspension of expelling, doubt the school would press c.even then all you're doing is misrepresenting, not fraud

oh sorry for not mentioning, im 19.. so not a minor any more.

19 and in highschool? ...are you sure he wants you to take the class for him?

1. I was held back at a very young age because I diddnt want to do work in class. 2. I'm staying an extra year at high school to pick up extra credits for my College coarse.. so yes he wants ME to do it for him and yes im 19 and in highschool for legitimate reasons. savvy?

The obvious question is: What's in it for you?

This.

As for specific penalties, I doubt many people here on this forum could answer this question for you. But in general, jail time is absolutely out of the question and so are fines. At worse you'll likely get either suspended or expelled. But I think a lot of this depends on your relationship with the school administration as well as any prior history you have in that school.

Your friend should just learn math, not really that hard...

And if you get caught, it may go on your school record, colleges may not like it? Not really sure of the consequences here.

Stalin will rise from the grave and impose a new communist regime in Russia if you do this.

Oh and when he's done he'll expell you from your school too.

Your friend should do it himself, it's worth it
Also, if I were back in high school knowing what I know now, I would do so much more shit, because they can't do a god damned thing to you. I am also in Ontario. Do what you want, the worse they can do is expel you. Who cares
