Quick question

I just created a new mod with the mod wizard tool (half-life 2 single player mod) then I added all of the files in the hl2 content GFC file, but when i load up the game and click "New Game" all the chapters are missing and i can't load any bsp maps through console.

thats because youre not playing hl2, youre playing a hl2 mod. you got a lot of setting up to do before you can click and play. sigh, if only it was that easy.

there is a very good tutorial on all the work needed to get a mod to work and start like hl2, I've got it on disk, I'll dig it out for you

Try this tutorial if you have a fast connection (it's a video tutorial). If not, follow the text-only tutorial given in that link. Make sure you've got the files you want. If you want to keep the HL2 map files then you'll need to use your common sense and skip out certain parts of the tutorial.
