I have been trying to draw an image in photo shop off a nice pic of an eye that i found, well basicly i want to be seeing both the images and the same time but every time i try to draw the image of the eye goes behind my canvas. I was wonding if there is a way in photo shop to put an "always on top" type option on one image and then draw on the one below it, alowing me to see both at the same time.

Layers? Then Lock it?

Edit: and give it a little transparency, so you can see what your drawling.

ummm thing is they are 2 seprate images in ps. I thought every image had its individual layers.

Is the drawing canvas maximised? Or is the picture too big to have them both open on your screen at once?

Thats what i have been doing, i mean only way for me to get aroudn it at the moment. But when im drawing somthing i like to have it as big as possible on the screen so i can use as much of the tablet as possible.

Copy the image from the one of the files onto the other, put the drawing layer on top, and decrease the opacity.

Yeah..basic knowlege.. Just merge them together, and then copy and paste it in to a new layer. Basically Like Pesmerga said.

Hey, a little tip, but you might want to read the actual threads in these forums.
