Quicktime Problem

Quicktime has recently gone awry. Every time I start playing a video in Quicktime (whether online, or one I have downloaded) it works for a couple of seconds and then the screen goes green but the sound keeps playing. See pictures:

I have tried re-downloading Quicktime, letting it load all the way before playing, and all manner of things, but to no avail. Any ideas?

I wonder if it's trying to use the wrong codec. Did you by chance download a codec pack?
If it's just this video then it could be corrupt. Otherwise I'm not sure.

It's any video when played on Quicktime. And I did download a codec pack. But deleted it with all the codecs because it messed some things up.

Any ideas?

Try the codec pack again but don't install them all. Only check the ones you would need. You can always uninstall it if it doesn't work. But maybe when you unstalled it, that took the codec you needed out.

I deleted this codec pack long before these troubles started. Quicktime worked perfectly up until about half a week ago
