My graphics card came with my dell diminsion 8250, im not sure if dell put a special bios on it to prevent overclocking, but everytime i try to overclock it says that it is not responding to drivers and goes into a really low quality resolution and color, it almost looks like the colors are inverted or something. I was wondering if flashing the card to a different bios would solve this, maybe even a pro bios if the pro and regular are basically the same...? It's clocked at 263 core and 263 mem. If flashing will do the trick, im not even sure how to do it, or where to get the bios...
(I was using ATI Tool to overclock btw.)

Any help or suggestions would be extremely appricieted, if you need more information about my problem just say so.

Try updating your drivers for your 9700. The lateest catalyst release is 5.1. www.ati.com
i did that already it works fine but it wont overclock. Maybe there's a trick... any more help would be great. :)

well i also have a 8250, but mines been upgraded many times, so it's not rly a 8250 anymore. mine also came with a 9700. i'm pretty sure that dell doesn't mess with the bios on ati cards, maybe you could try "ATI Tray Tools" for everclocking.

Try getting RadLinker instead of ATI Tools. I have a 9700 Pro clocked to 361/325. Nothing special, but it's an improvement.
