Ragdolls for all!

Their main selling point is their great story-telling... though, both of them do it in very different ways,

shoot, lots of games have ragdolls...
UT2k3 had em, Halo had em..list goes on and on...

Not to be mean.....this has been posted more times that I have digits. :)

However, story, graphics, modability generally has soemthing to do with the appeal.

Halo didn't have ragdolls.

They say Unreal 2 has rag-doll physics, played it?
I havn't, but I tried the demo, and I swear, there are rarely any rag-doll effects, you shoot someone down, and nothing happens, just some stiff death animation.
And Soldier of Fortune II's rag-doll animation wasn't that good, you kill someone, they do their painful death animation, and when they're bodies hit the ground-all that happens is the body moves around to fit with the environment.
^^Same with Jedi Academy.

Halo had a physics engine for objects, mainly for vehicles and things like force of explosions, but there is no ragdolls. They fly through the air and flail their arms (even if they're dead :D ), then execute a death animation when they hit the ground and angle themselves so they're flat, thus creating the illusion of ragdoll effects.
