"rainbow" coloured walls

I just started playing half life 2, and everywhere i go, all walls, flooring, roofs etc are rainbow coloured. It was trippy at first, but now when i try to shoot, because of all the light colours, and a lot of white colours, i can't see my crosshair, and it's just getting annoying. Help please? :|

So ... basically you're saying your game has gone double complete rainbow, all the way? D:

might try reinstalling your video card drivers, or perhaps your HL2 data files are corrupted

something like that, everthing but people, and objects are multi coloured

Uhm no, the first time i started it up it was like that, even the starting screen was like it. I've validated my files, and re downloaded Half Life 2. still that same.

Sounds like a graphics driver problem.

Get the latest ones for your card, install, restart your PC and try again.

My card is way too out of date to find the drivers, it's supposed to be able to handle Half Life 2, but i doubt i can find the drivers.

What is the name of your card? (start > run > dxdiag, read display tab) Or the name of the PC you bought (e.g. Dell Inspiron 8000 or something).

Card : Intel 82915G/GV/910GL. 128 mb RAM. Told you it was old.
CPU: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.06GHz

The graphics card is the problem. According to Steam support Intel graphics cards have problems with Source.

Get an Xbox then if you're not willing to upgrade your hardware in order to meet the minimum requirements.
