Guy lives just to run for president doesn't he? For some reason, he just entered the race today more than a couple of months late into the race. Provided he wins, he will most likely die of old age too:

Nader > any other candidate

edit: also **** this means another 4 years of republican rule.

He'll definitely **** up the presidency for Democrats.
This asshole is nothing more then a pawn of the Republican party.

i <3 nader. looks like mccain just won the presidency

I like Nader but he won't influance anything this election just like he didn't in the last election.

You can thank Nader for Bush's first election though.

You can thank the democrats for bush's first election
and the supreme court.

I doubt this election will be close enough for it to matter.

God, Nader...

I guess it was kind of admirable of Nader to stick it out in the 2000 election, staying in to the finish. But in retrospect, considering his involvement and the part it played in spawning one of the worst administrations the US has seen in a while, I think the love affair some Democrats had with him has ended.

I'm not concerned about him nabbing voters from other candidates though. He got far fewer votes in 2004 and the trend looks like it will continue. I don't what he's trying to accomplish here, but sure as shit can't be winning the presidency.

He's as stupid as Huckabee is.

please huckabee is a superstitious idiot who believes in ridiculous fairy tales ..at least Nadar takes the other candidates to task

"Address the issues, Barack. Address why you're not for single-payer health insurance? Explain why you don't challenge what you know as to be tens of billions of dollars of waste, fraud and abuse in the military budget.

Nader told CNN he does not believe any of the candidates, including McCain, will pull through on pledges to reduce the influence of special interests in Washington. "Of course not. First of all, if they wanted to do that, they'd put front and center public funding of public campaigns," cracking down on corporate crimes, and other issues.

will he have much of an effect on the outcome? probably not ..is it throwing a wrench in to the 2 party system possibly disrupting the electing of a candidate from party A or Party B, as is the tradition since independence? ..probably, but at least there's an attempt to break from the 2 party system

My statement about him being as stupid as Huckabee is revolves purely around the fact that... for one, Huckabee is an idiot for not realizing he's just wasting cash trying to stay in the race. There's absolutely no chance in hell he can win, and he's a stubborn ass for sticking in the race.

Nader also has no chance, yet decides, "I'll hop in at the last moment of the primaries where the two candidates are split but 90% of the primaries have already taken place!" He's just as delusional as Huckabee in that regard.

If I were to compare their views, I couldn't make the same statement, since Huckabee is the bigger idiot. But it's not about that, it's about some idiotic idea that they have a shot at accomplishing anything other than wasting money of the fools who attempt to support them during their efforts.

cadidates dont work alone ..the christian right pushed pretty hard for huckabee (even Chuck Norris came out in support) ..keeping up apppreances is part of the long term battle, it doesnt end here ..it just ends for Huckabee

had he had enough time would that have changed anything? has there ever been a president from an independent party?

it's their money to waste ..Nadar knows he doesnt have a chance but again it's about putting the candidates to task ..it's pushing the right buttons that the 2 parties could never push ..I mean his whole campaigning angle is to attak the other candidates policies instead of pushing what they bring to the table ..they do this because they know they dont have a snowballs chance in hell ...you're a two flavour political machine ..he's the sprinkles on top attemping to change the flavour somewhat or at least dilute it

Don't forget the Colbert Bump.

It's a poor attempt at that. Plus, a 3rd party candidate is supposed to offer a third dimension, much like Ron Paul. Nader does not offer this.
